One of CEDECA/BA’s main lines of action is the end to impunity for crimes against the infant-juvenile population. To facilitate access to the legal system for families with children and teenagers in situations of sexual violence or murder, CEDECA/BA offers a popular criminal legal service.
Through this legal service, the Center accompanies cases considered exemplary at no charge to the client, starting with the police enquiry until trial, when the institution’s lawyers act as prosecution assistants .
Protection and legal assistance work accompanies psycho-social treatment, which, as well as promoting the necessary assistance for children and adolescents’ psychological recovery, is also an important information source for lawyers to prepare their evidence, when in search of success with penal actions.
